Simple Abundance What Does it Mean?

manifesto for a simpler life with nancy bouwens simply abundant life Minimalism and simple living are not a brand new idea;  actually it seems in a variety of arenas, many are expressing their desire for a simpler lifestyle. During October I am committing to 31 days of writing… and writing on one topic.  I am joining others at the nester who are doing the same and you are invited to follow along as I explore what it means to embrace a more authentic and less complicated life.

So, is less really more?

I yearn to embrace the gift of real and true a midst my days. The honesty of living unhindered by the trappings of what is expected or accepted can be difficult .For me I find this often this takes courage- of which I sometimes  lack by the bushel!

Do you struggle to find a healthy life balance?

Cleaning house in the physical can be messy and sweeping cobwebs from our life is too. Excess baggage we carry  can weigh us down, keeping us from wrapping our arms and passions around what is most important in our lives.  Some of what we will explore over the next month will involve physically simplifying our daily lives and routines while other days  will focus on the how of breathing deep and living large , while exploring what it means to live with less yet have more of what is truly of value.

I am looking forward to the next 31 days of writing and reaching more into what it means to live with less and experience more of what matters .

Love love love the quote featured on my blog post today. (which of course is why I shared it on our very first day) … A Manifesto for a Simple Life with Kelly Exeter

Eat less, Move more, buy less, make more,  stress less, laugh more, feel blessed, love more.. find a quiet spot everyday and breathe.

As I look around my home and see all that “needs”to be done while penning these thoughts pen about simplicity and abundance, I am challenged. Ouch. So- guess what? I am going to draw you into my challenge.

Each person who leaves a comment will be entered into a random drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Card!!  Drawing will be held on November 1, 2013

  1. Life brings endless changes and the simplicity of simply breathing can sometimes feel like too little. I take your challenge to write every day, to find a quiet place, sit and simply breathe in…life joy and acceptance. Miss you so very much

    1. Sharon- I sometimes forget about the breathing part, choosing to walk away from the crazy and just be. (miss you too!)

    1. Cindy- no worries- no time like the present! 🙂

  3. Connie Holmes says:

Urgent things: Those things that affect eternality, Those important: making happy memories. Goal to live simply — get rid of the clutter in my life.

    1. Connie – I am so with you on the getting rid of clutter in my life… some of it is physical, others is not. But it all is clutter and needs to be “sorted” through 🙂

      Blessings – Nancy
