Rick & Kay Warren This Mama Prays For You Tonight

matthew-warren

Lord- I ask you -would hold this precious family tonight.. and in the days and months to come in a grace walk. Show them you are enough even in this. You are faithful in the valley and the mountain top, even when hearts are broken.  Only you God can be their “enough:

Depression is heart wrenching to walk through -I Know from an agonizing personal journey through the dark night of my soul. I write to you as a mama  with  children who also have walked through great anguish &  pain in this valley. This one thing I know… He is God in the storm and in the weeping. He will hold you – let him gather you to himself – even when you only want to crawl away alone.

Committed to pray for you this night and in the dark nights of the heart and  that will follow, in the valley, he is still there. He’s big enough for your pain, your questions and your fears. Let it out sweet family, and let God carry even this.

When the prayer is answered with silence or loss, He is still God

When the tears will not stop, and anguish overtakes, He is still God

I pray you will be held and surrounded by the many who love you and your special family. I pray  you will be strengthened, supported, loved and protected by those who love you the most.

Father God, I do not have an answer for the Warren family tonight. I can not change their pain. But Abba Father, can be mighty in the storm. That is all I ask of you this day. God- will you please be big to them tonight ? Amen

Readers- please join with the prayers of so many

  • for this family

  • for other families touched by the anguish of depression

Give us as a church your hands and your feet to stand with those whose breath has been taken away , let us not walk away or judge another. Let us stand with the hurting across the miles… and also for the one who sits next to you each week at church….they too may be hurting deep inside their soul.

  1. It’s so important to block out the negative during times of tragedy. May the people of God surround the Warrens, circling the wagons against the enemy for the duration of their grief. And may the God of abundant Love minister His great healing through His chosen ones to bring forth growth and open doors for the healing of others in like situations.

  2. Thank you, Nancy, for this beautiful prayer and request. Praying for God’s grace & incomparable peace to encompass this hurting family & all others who suffer. Amen. Teresa

  3. Thank you for your generous prayer. With all the hate and derision being thrown at this family, it is healing for all of us to hold them close in prayer and walk with them through this time of suffering.

Nancy, tonight, something pushed me to visit your site after I tweeted you.

I needed to pray this prayer, yesterday, last week, 2 years ago! We have been going through some great difficulties in our family. Thank God, depression is not one of our problems, probably because of all the praying I have been doing. I shared it because everybody can use it.

I invite you to read my last post on Challenges, at http://journeyswithkatina.com/
You will understand why your prayer came at the best time for me and my family! Your prayer is wonderfull! Humbleness, trust, faith, surrendering, great love, all come through and fill the heart with comfort and strength just by praying it!

God Bless you and your family tonight and always!

    1. Sweet Katina… I too feel we must lift them up.. the support is strong now amidst the fray… but the days ahead will be hard. God is good and big, but he will need the church to be the church to love this family through the journey. I pray the church will be the hands and feet of Jesus for the Warrens…Jesus let it be so. Amen
Thanks katina for sharing this post and standing with them.
      Hugs -Nancy
