Tornado Moore Oklahoma

The tornado was estimated to be at least two miles wide at one point as it moved through Moore, in the southern part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Families searching for each other. Parents desperate to find children trapped in schools, Plaza Towers Elementary, Briarwood Elementary, neighborhoods gone, flattened, vanished.

The devastation has been compared to a war zone. In a moment lives forever altered. As a nation, we pray. As a people we give of our time, talents and resources to help those who are hurting. When the need is great, as in Moore Oklahoma, or the recent Hurricane Sandy, or Boston bombing… our hearts break and we long to make a difference.

Not all can travel to the damaged area. Not all are able to give financially. But, we all can give of ourselves to another.

Be willing, be open, and look for a way to give in your corner of the world. You may not live in Oklahoma today… but the spirit of giving and love being poured upon them as many come to serve and walk with them in the midst of their great need- can be given and spread into the community in which you live today.

What is within your power to make a difference in your corner of the world, to the faces you encounter each day? Large or small… each act of radical, unepected and random love can make a difference in the life of another.
